RealTile Assembly
For New
Construction

Verify plumb and square of the opening. Correct if necessary to RealTile rough framing dimensions.

Place the RealTile TM base in an open area where you can get around to the back side of the unit.

Apply a bead of sealant to the horizontal flange shelf.

Set the back wall panel on the base and have someone hold it in position. Install the supplied washers and nuts
over the indexing studs. Do not fully tighten the nuts.

Apply a bead of sealant to the vertical flange in the corner of the back wall panel. Keep the sealant to the rear of
the seam. Only a small bead is needed. Put an additional bead of sealant around the slots in the vertical flange
of the side wall panel.

Position the slots of one of the side wall panels over the back panel indexing studs and then lower onto the base
indexing studs. Install the supplied washers and nuts over the indexing studs. Do not fully tighten the nuts.

Repeat with the remaining panel. Tighten all nuts and verify even seam widths. Wipe off any sealant that is forced
out of the seams with a wet soapy water rag or sponge so that none is visible.

The RealTile TM unit is now ready for the usual installation procedure as detailed in the instructions laminated onto
the side wall. Pre-drill all holes and use #8 x 1 1/2" stainless steel or plated Phillips head "deck style" screws.

Scuff marks may be removed with acetone. Scratches caused during installation may be sanded out with 400
grit, then 600 grit wet/dry sandpaper, then buffed out to a high gloss with any automotive or marine buffing
compound. The "Cleaning and Maintenance" label may only be removed by the occupant.
Soak label with WD40 or a similar product for best results.
