All local and State compliance is the responsibility of the purchaser. Check with your local and state building official/permit agency to verify regulations concerning licensing of the installer and equipment requirements. Current National codes state that anything over 60” of travel must be enclosed within a shaft in commercial applications.

handicap wheelchair elevator - wheelchair lift that features quick and easy installation

This
vertical platform wheelchair lift designed primarily for lifting
physically challenged persons from the ground level up to
the main floor of their homes. It can be used as an indoor wheelchair lift or an outdoor wheelchair lift. The Trus-T-Lift wheelchair porch lift - wheelchair lift is made of
three simple components, which allows for easy set-up in less
than half an hour.

The PORTABLE option is great for applications where up to 52 inches is needed for lifting height. Portables are exempt from the National Elevator Codes because they are not attached to anything. Therefore, they do not require the commercial package in commercial applications. Go light on the accessories for portables so they don't get too heavy to push around.

Additional Information...
- When standing on the Platform and looking at the control wall tower, the power cord comes out on
the left at the bottom. You need to have an electrical outlet within 6 ft of this area.
- For lifts installed in a shaft, the lift should be dropped into a 2" pit to allow for the thickness of the frame so the user will have a flush entry onto the carriage. There are no toeplates with lifts that are enclosed in a shaft.
MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW PACKAGE INSTRUCTIONS REGARDING MOVING THE CRATE TO AVOID DAMAGING THE UNIT ONCE DELIVERED. DO NOT REMOVE PACKING MATERIALS UNTIL THE LIFT IS IN PLACE WHERE IT IS GOING TO BE INSTALLED. THE PACKING MATERIALS KEEP MECHANICAL CABLES/SHAFT IN PLACE WHILE TRANSPORTING THE LIFT. |
